Not Recommended Casinos – Casinos that we advise our players to avoid!

Not Recommended casinos on our list are just that that term means – these are casinos that are we do not recommended and that we advise our players to avoid. The online casino industry is very big and has many players and experience shows that not everything is fine with many casinos. The most important factor that makes us classify a casino as Not Recommended is our own experience with it during our testing period. It is often the case, where we encounter poor customer service, poor player support, serious payment delays, bad or unclear or fraudulent bonus terms, and questionable business practices. We are in the business of helping our players make more informed decisions and on this pages we will list casinos that in our opinion you should definitely avoid!

Here is the top list of casinos that we DO NOT RECOMMEND at this time!

We advise our players to carefully consider their decisions before they play at the following casinos:

How can we help our players?

We believe that our players deserve to get a fair game and a great playing experience each time they choose to play. Yes it is most often the case that most players no not experience issues when gambling online. But issues do come along and we will be most prompt to try to assist you in case something goes wrong. We strongly encourage you to submit a complaint on the player review area on our site on the review on each casino, whether it’s with payments or bonuses. We will contact the casino ourselves with your complaint and will keep your reviews posted until they are resolved!

Why did we create this list?

We do enjoy gambling and we do like playing at online casinos. But certainly, when we do so, we are looking for fun and quality experience. Sometimes we take ethics for granted, but unfortunately this is not always the case with many casino operators. Surely there are many serious and very reputable brands in the industry that have the highest standards for players an for corporate behavior, but also there are many brands that are in there to make a quick dollar at the expense of the player! We have seen that too many times and we think it will be proper to warn our visitors against such cases that we encounter!

Let us underline that point again – Online gambling is a  constantly growing industry and as such it usually draws plenty of bad apples looking for quick money at the expense of gullible players. In addition, it is true that the very nature of internet offers opportunities for all kinds of frauds. The best thing that we suggest you do is to get around the problematic sites and stick to the proven ones. We do like to introduce to you the reputable and good casinos, but at the same time we will not hesitate for a second to point our finger at those that are not up to a quality standard. Our Not Recommended list is compiled after we do an impartial and vigorous reviewing process that does not take rogue casinos lightly.

Why do not we recommend these casinos?

In general, it is not a fun and straightforward job to label an online casinos a Not Recommended one. Not only we have experienced players in our staff, but also we collect information from the player community and then check carefully all given details for the casino before putting it on our Not Recommended List. We surely understand that everyone can make a mistake once and a while, but if a casino continuously keep sticking to bad practices like poor customer service, email spamming, denial of declared bonuses, delays of payouts or anything else that can be considered a bad business practice, we will worn you about it. Every single casino on our Not Recommended List has well deserved its place among other rogue casinos!

An online casino gets added to our Not Recommended list if we notice that it does one or more of the following practices:

1. Poor Customer Service and Support

Support is very slow, unfriendly and uneasy or support barely exists at all. If a player wins they make a special effort to be slow and to demand verification information and make every effort to delay payment to the player so he can keep playing and eventually lose his entire balance!

Casinos that have poor customer service, lack of responsiveness, unstable software or provide genuinely unethical player experiences get added to our blacklist. We also blacklist casinos that fail to include the proper encryption technology that’s needed to keep your information and financial details safe.

2. Fraudulent Terms and Conditions

Reading Terms and Conditions is one of the most annoying thing that a player looking for some fun wants to do. Sure, we do recommend that, but we clearly understand that the vast majority of players do not read them. BUT WE DO READ THEM OURSELVES as the purpose of this site is to help our players make educated choices! Many times we see terrible terms and conditions that are not acceptable to anyone and can not be classified as anything else but as SCAM! See for example a shot of terms and conditions that we have encountered during our reviews:

fraudulent terms and conditions

You will probably not believe this garbage, but is INDEED says:

37. If you have not placed any wager in your Player Account for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days your account shall be deemed to be inactive and any balance will be forreited and any comp points accumulated will expire.

What??? A player puts his money in this casino, plays some and then goes about his business for 6 months with a balance in his account. Surely this must be fine. But, then he comes back after 6 months and sees that his balance has been confiscated by the casino! How could that be? He calls support and they tell him: “Well, you should have read our terms and conditions”. This is a clear example of fraudulent terms and conditions that we will warn about every time we see them and any casino that has them will automatically be added to our blacklisted list!

3. Delay of Payments to Players

We will not discover the wheel again if we say that most financial transactions are generally based on trust! Players naturally give their trust to the casino for safekeeping their money as they register and deposit. Perhaps the easiest way for a casino to lose its credibility is to try its hardest to prolong and delay payouts to players in the hope that they will keep playing until they lose everything.

Most people play with the expectation of eventually hitting a SUPER WIN and once in awhile this indeed happens. And once they have hit it big, they would like to see the money in their account as soon as possible. Although withdrawal procedures may take a while, payouts should be processed in a matter of hours, days or weeks, but NOT MONTHS. Some casinos tend to come up with more and more new obstacles every time a player requires a withdrawal.

All of a sudden they need to verify you! What was keeping them from doing that when you registered is a mystery – heavy verification only happens when try you withdraw – NOT WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR INITIAL DEPOSIT. Note that the initial depositprocess is designed on purpose to be as easy as possible! Be ready to have: copies of your personal IDs, passport, bank accounts and other documents, Actually these will be asked by reputable casinos as well, but many Not Recommended List casinos show more creativity in avoiding their payouts than creating their websites. Unbelievable Terms and Conditions, unfulfilled wagering requirements for bonuses you have never claimed and hundreds of other excuses are used to ensure that no money leaves a casino.

See the shot below from BobCasino.com, which is actually a reputable casino, where it suddenly it becomes a “Standard Procedure” for all players to submit all of these silly papers! Notice again, the casino does not ask for these when you register, because it is eager to take your money as soon as possible. The process only happens when it comes for players withdrawing money from a casino! So look at the papers you have to provide them with – Bank Statement, Utility Bill and a copy of your ID Card or Password. We are sure that they will keep that to the highest privacy standards – or perhaps not – we will never know!

Hey, this is not all! Once you submit a document it has to be “Verified by a member of our staff”. Don’t hold your breadth – this might take awhile and actually the document could easily be rejected several times because it in “illegible” or “not clearly seen”.

Also, Beware of the so called Withdrawal limits!

Many casinos have withdrawal limits! So it turned out that even after checking through, a big winning player can only take back some money at a time (withdrawal limits of 2000-4000 euros are actually quite common). This fact makes big winners even more annoyed – they have to wait a long time to withdraw their big profits! Or, of course, play again until they lose everything. See the shots below for examples of emails that you might get while trying to withdraw a big win:

a. Oops, Congratulations but we can only send you 4000 per month!

b. Not that easy Sir. It might take awhile to get your OWN money!

4. Predatory Bonus Terms

There are quite a few casinos that have outrageous terms like 50x or 100x bonus rollover requirements. Hey, lets think about this 100% wagering requirement for a moment – you do not need to be professor in mathematics to figure out that claiming eventual winnings on such a bonus is a mathematical impossibility – after all the casino advantage on most slot games is around 92-95%! We strongly encourage you to use our Casino Bonus Calculator to make a test computation of how much wagering you need to do to claim your winnings with such bonus terms. We can tell you in advance – chances are slim to none! Actually, using our Bonus Calculator, we have done the computation for you – see the show below, if you deposit 100 Euros, with 100x wagering requirements you need to bet 10,000 Euros to get your bonus. Good luck with that!

bonus 100 wagering

Wait, we are not done! On top of that there often is a cap on how much money a player can win with his bonus (max value of x times the initial deposit amount), a limit on how much you can bet per round, or prohibiting games like progressive jackpots from being played while using the bonus. So, many casinos use this as a creepy way to get a player signed up for a bonus or promotion in the midst of trying to resolve a conflict related to the player wanting to cash out. All of a sudden, the casino does not think that the player is legitimate, but it had no problem taking the deposit money from that same player and then offering him bonuses.

Please ask yourselves – How could this be???  In reality, it is nothing else but a clearly calculated effort to lock the player into an offer which forces them to play (and lose) more instead of cashing out.

4. Changing Terms and Condintions

One of the sneakiest things rogue casinos do is change their terms on the fly, on an as-needed basis. They’ll do this when they’re in dispute with a player over something they say the player’s done wrong, but hasn’t really. They’ll change the terms to support their argument. Yet, when you look at the archives you can see the terms were recently changed from siding with the player …to siding with the casino. The shot below shows an unlikely change of Terms and Conditions surprise:

4. Poor treatment of affiliates

Casino Affiliates are 3rd party companies that perform marketing on behalf of the casino. This is done at their own expense in exchange for a commission from incoming players. And truly, affiliates are the first ones to get stiffed by a scam casino when the casino runs into problems or decides to join the fraudulent side.

Another way rogue casinos will screw over partners is by tweaking their terms and conditions so that affiliates won’t be paid for previous campaigns that were once on rev-share (when the affiliate receives an ongoing commission for a player they sent to the casino, for the life of the player).

5. SPAM Advertisments

With so many gaming establishments popping up like mushrooms after rain, one of the biggest issues for casino owners is making the world aware of a casino’s existence. The first step is the hardest, and casinos can make serious fouls at the very beginning. Firstly, some casinos will drown players’ inboxes with their advertisements, saying how big they are, promising huge awards and offering the best games ever and so on. Secondly, since players frequently rely on other people’s experiences, casinos may try to occupy various gaming forums by employing stubborn writers (pretending to be regular players) to praise the greatness of their casino. Thirdly, casino spammers can try to broaden their territory and hack third party websites in order to position the casino in search engine results.

Proven Lack of Randomness of Casino games

This is the ultimate sin that a casino can commit to our players! Yes, it’s normal to go on losing streaks playing online casinos games, just as it’s normal to go on long winning streaks. But if a site fails to use a proper Random Number Generator to ensure that all deals, spins, and rolls of the dice are random, or if that RNG is found to be flawed or “fixed”, the online casino is blacklisted. All top-rated casino should have verified and independently audited random number generators. Casinos that do not externally audit can alter their gaming results and cheat player out of their winnings. If we ever see a proof on meddling with the randomness of games at an online casino, we will blacklist it immediately as this is against all ethical standards imaginable.

Do all casinos provide fair games?

No. While most of casinos offer games with random number generators, those that use legitimate game providers like NetEnt or Evolution Gaming, some rotten apples were found to create non-random games in order to increase their profits.

Spamming Bonus Campaigns

When using the spam mass mailings, online casinos usually emphasize the bonuses they offer. Do not be surprised if one day you find a bunch of messages in your phone, sent from the same number, promising unbelievable welcome bonuses, while all they ask you to do is registering with their site and placing the initial deposit. If you decide to ignore the messages, they will not give up and you will be receiving the same or similar messages every single day. As you can see, sometimes your email will suffer, sometimes your phone will be working over time, but they will not let you breathe until they squeeze some money out of you.

We can not trust a casino that does not respect your time, your privacy and your decisions and behaves like an aggressor? And, we will never recommend it to you – and thats that! Agressive spamming campaigns rise a warning for our staff and if we see that happening, we will be sure go give them a place on our Not Recommended List.

Check a shot of our mailbox for a prime example of spam email mass mailings:

Casino False Advertising

Casinos that advertise free money and then make you jump through hoops to claim a bonus, all without spelling it out anywhere in their terms and conditions are placed on our blacklist. We don’t take tricking players lightly.

Is there a way a casino can avoid being blacklisted even if it deserves to be?

Absolutely not! Our biggest concern is the satisfaction of our visitors and we will make sure every single casino that goes through our reviewing process gets the place it deserves. We invite our players to contact us and use our contact form to submit detailed complaints

Can a casino be removed from the Not Recommended List?

Yes, but under some conditions. Firstly, they need to prove they have changed, which usually includes new management and/or new owners. Secondly, they need to pursue a straight course for quite a long time to convince us they are a trustworthy place.

Getting off our blacklist takes more than just a week or two of good effort. A blacklisted casino needs to show that, over an extended period of time, that they’ve changed their shady ways. They’re not stealing from players anymore. Their games are fair. They’re doing things by the highest standards. All of their players have been paid!

How can I be sure that a casino is reputable?

The best answer we can give you is – check our articles, analysis, reviews, mind our recommendations and even contact us if you feel like it. We employ first-class players and enthusiasts who know how to recognize a reputable gaming establishment and we will proceed boldly against scammers and cheaters.

A Not Recommended List casino offers a great welcome bonus. Should I give them a chance?

That is entirely up to you, but we do not recommend signing up with any of the casinos from the Not Recommended List. No matter what a particular reason for blacklisting them is, an immoral behaviour is a clear sign to avoid that casino.
